Trout Cooking and Deboning Tip
While many people enjoy eating Trout, people get nervous about cooking it and how to deal with those pesky bones. I have attached a video of how to cook Trout and how to debone it. Watch the whole 2 minute video to see how these cooks easily pull out the bones of the Trout after they cooked it. If you do it their way you aren’t messing with the small bones while you are eating the Trout. The video will show you their version but here is my basic recipe learned from my parents on a camping trip.

Make a boat out of tinfoil large enough to comfortably put the whole trout in it.
Drizzle the trout with olive oil or whatever cooking oil you have both on the inside and the outside of the Trout.
Season with salt
Sprinkle with parsley dried or fresh
Crush two cloves of garlic and spread the minced garlic one for inside the butterflied Trout and spread one for on top (if you don’t have crushed garlic use powder)
Cut 4 slices of Lemon two for inside the butterflied Trout and two for outside
Cut 2 Slices of butter one for inside and one for outside the Trout on top of it.
Seal the tinfoil up and place in a baking dish
Cook Trout approximately 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
You can also add whatever other spices you want such as dill. I have even added a splash of white wine as well. Watch the video for their version of it and don’t forget to see the end where they easily remove the bones.
